I’ve been so excited for this post! Valentine’s crafts for kids are one of my favorite to make. Today, we’ll be making Valentine’s Love Bugs. We have made these super cute Love Bugs for the past 4 years now. It’s just one of those crafts we all love. Even my older kids got in on making them which always warms my heart! I love that they are not “too cool” to sit down and make crafts with mom!
Last year we had so much fun making these, we ended up with over 60 of them, so the kids were able to take them to school to hand out to their friends.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, I bet you’re kids are excited for a new craft project! I know mine are! These Love Bugs are so quick & easy to make. And I’m sure you probably already have most of the supplies on hand.
We made these a couple years ago for my daughter’s YouTube channel. Here’s the video (skip to 7:23 for the Love Bug Craft)
Let’s get creative!
Valentine Crafts for Kids ~Love Bugs
What You Need
- craft pom poms (red, pink, white, purple)
- pipe cleaners
- foam hearts
- googly eyes
- hot glue gun

What to Do
Step 1:
Choose a foam heart, and glue a pom pom on top of it
Step 2:
Create antennae with your choice of pipe cleaners. You can wrap the pipe cleaner around a pencil to curl it. You could also add small pom poms to the ends of the antennae
Step 3:
Glue on googly eyes
And that’s it! Aren’t these the cutest?!! The kids love giving these to the classroom with their valentines.

Have fun making these with your children. I’d love to see your creations! Be sure to post a picture to my Pinterest pin.
