How To Play Valentine Bingo
Step 1 Download and Print the Valentine Bingo Cards
Print the cards on sturdy paper like card stock, so they hold up through multiple games. If you’re planning to keep the cards to use every year, I would suggest laminating them. You can do this with a laminator machine, or with self laminate sheets. This is optional, but will keep your cards damage free for future use. You’ll also find a set of “call cards” in the download.

Step 2 Set Up The Game
Cut out the call cards and place them in a heart shaped bowl, bag, or basket. These are the cards you’ll draw from during the game. Another suggestion for the calling cards is to laminate the calling card sheet using a laminator machine, or self laminate sheets. Use a dry erase marker to cross out the card when it’s called. Next, gather small items to use as markers for the players’ cards. Here are some festive options:
Bingo Marker Ideas
- Valentine colored buttons
- mini foam hearts
- mini red, pink and white pom poms
- mini Valentine erasers
- Valentine beads
- Valentine candy: candy hearts, kisses

Step 3 Distribute the Bingo Cards
Hand out one Valentine Bingo card to each player. Make sure every player also has a handful of markers to cover the spaces on their card as the game progresses.
Step 4 Play the Game
Randomly draw a call card from the bowl and announce the image to the group (e.g., “Red Heart!”). Players look at their Bingo cards and place a marker on the matching image if it’s on their card.
Step 5 Winning the Game
The first player to complete a row, column, or diagonal shouts “Bingo!” and wins the round. The winner can choose a prize such as: small toys, holiday treats, or stickers. We always played a game until each child won a prize.

Creative ways to Play the Game
Want to mix things up? Try one of these variations:
- Blackout Bingo: Instead of stopping at one row, keep playing until someone covers every space on their card. This version extends the fun!
- Speed Round: Set a timer and see who can complete a row or column the fastest.
- Pattern Bingo: Create a specific pattern players must complete, like an “X” or the corners of the card.
Perfect for every holiday occasion
Valentine Bingo for Kids is a versatile activity that fits into so many holiday scenarios. Here are just a few ideas:
- Family Game Night: Turn your family evening into a fun celebration with pizza, Valentine Bingo, and lots of snacks.
- Classroom Parties: Teachers, this game is a no-prep lifesaver! Print the cards and have some Valentine’s Day fun with your students.
- Playdates: Invite neighborhood playmates for an afternoon of games and crafts. Valentine Bingo is a perfect activity for the kids.
- Quiet Time at Home: Gather the kids for a round of Bingo on a snowy winter day when it’s too cold to play outside.
