What To Do

Step 1

The first step is to fill each bowl with enough shaving cream to cover the egg. I like using individual bowls in order to make several different color combinations. You could also put shaving cream on a baking sheet if you want to use all the same color.

Step 2

Now, it’s time to add some color to your shaving cream canvas! Grab your food coloring and drip a few drops of each color onto the shaving cream. Feel free to get creative with your color combinations – the more vibrant, the better!

Step 3

Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl the colors into the shaving cream to create really cool patterns and designs. Don’t overmix – a few swirls will do the trick! Be sure the skewer goes to the bottom of the bowl as you swirl the colors. That way the entire egg will get colored

Step 4

Once you’re happy with your colorful swirls, it’s time to add your eggs! Carefully place each hard-boiled egg onto the shaving cream surface, then gently fold some shaving cream over the egg until it’s fully coated with the colorful mixture. Be sure to cover the entire surface of the egg for maximum effect.

Step 5

After covering your eggs with the colored shaving cream, set them aside and allow the shaving cream to work its magic. Let them sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow the colors to penetrate the eggshell and create vibrant, marbled designs.

Once the time is up, it’s time to reveal your masterpiece. Run the egg under cool water to gently remove the shaving cream and place on a paper towel to dry.
