Santa Mason Jar Gift
Happy weekend friends. November has arrived, and the excitement of Christmas decorating and holiday crafting is in full swing here! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been thinking ahead to some unique, fun DIY gift ideas that are easy enough for kids to make. This Santa Mason Jar Gift is such a simple project, but so cute that I’m sure that it will bring a smile to whoever you’re gifting it to! Who doesn’t love receiving candy and chocolate at Christmas right?
This DIY Santa Mason Jar Gift is such a cute project for the kids to make, and can be made in minutes—that’s my kind of craft! It’s perfect as a sweet gift for teachers, a thoughtful treat from kids to grandparents, or even a cute addition to your kids stockings. Growing up, I loved spending time at the library, searching for fun crafts and homemade gift ideas that I could try out. There’s just something so special about giving handmade gifts during the holidays—it’s like sharing a piece of yourself, and it feels so much more personal.
The supplies are super simple: just a mason jar, some red candy, a little black ribbon and a shiny gold buckle to create an adorable mason jar gift. Adding the Santa hat is optional—the jar looks adorable with just the black belt and red candy. But I think the hat adds an extra cute touch that makes it even more festive! I’ve also created a “Santa’s Secret Stash” gift tag for you to print out to add an extra fun touch.
So if you’re ready to create a fun handmade Christmas gift, gather some supplies, round up the kids and let’s dive into some holiday crafting!

Santa Mason Jar Gift
What You’ll Need
- mason jar
- red candy
- black ribbon
- gold buckle
- santa hat (optional) I got mine from Dollar Tree
- craft stuffing (optional)
- glue gun
- scissors
- Christmas twine
- free printable gift tag

What To Do
Step 1
Cut the black ribbon so it’s just a bit longer than the circumference of the jar. Thread the ribbon through the buckle, then wrap it around the jar, securing it in place with with your glue gun.

Step 2
Cut off the top portion of the Santa hat to create a cute, mini version.

Step 3
Cut a strip of the white fur trim from the Santa hat and glue it around the mini hat with your glue gun.

Step 4
For a little extra height, you can add some craft stuffing inside the hat. This step is completely optional—personally, I chose to skip the stuffing because I loved the look of the hat just as it was.

Step 5
Fill your jar with red candy, then secure the lid with the Santa hat. Add the finishing touch by tying a ribbon around the jar and attaching the free printable gift tag.

How cute is this Santa Mason Jar Gift! It’s festive, fun and absolutely perfect for a last minute teacher gift, stocking stuffer, or sweet surprise for a neighbor. I hope you enjoy making these as much as I did!
Until next time
