Pumpkin Art for Kids
What You’ll Need
- white cardstock
- orange craft paint
- paint brush
- googly eyes
- fine sharpie marker
- green and brown paper
- pencil
- scissors
- glue

What To Do
Step 1
Paint your child’s fist with orange craft paint and press it onto white cardstock. I was able to fit 3 pumpkins on one page. Set aside to dry

Step 2
With the brown craft or construction paper, draw a simple pumpkin stem and cut it out

Step 3
With the green craft paper cut thin strips approximately ¼” wide by 6″ long.

Step 4
Once your painted pumpkin has dried, draw a simple outline around the fist print to create a pumpkin shape, then cut it out. Or, if you prefer, leave the artwork as is for an adorable little painting—it’s charming either way!

Step 5
Glue the pumpkin stem to the top of the pumpkin

Step 6
With a pencil, roll the green strip of paper around the pencil to make a curl, then glue it beside the pumpkin stem for a cute detail.

Step 7
Glue on some large googly eyes, and draw a cute smile with a fine tip marker to make your pumpkins come to life.

Aren’t these painted pumpkins just the cutest? I’d love to hear if you give this pumpkin art project a try! Feel free to share your creations—I can’t wait to see them! Be sure to post a photo under one of my Pinterest Pins so we can celebrate your creativity together!
Until next time
