What You’ll Need
- pinecones
- pom pom (natural or brown color)
- googly eyes
- orange foam sheet
- red card stock
- faux leaves
- glue gun
- scissors
- pencil

What To Do
Step 1
Begin by drawing a simple turkey beak onto an orange foam sheet or cardstock. Also draw a turkey wattle onto red cardstock, then cut them out.

Step 2
Glue your beige or brown pom pom onto the narrow end of the pinecone

Step 3
Make your turkey come to life by gluing on the beak, wattle, and googly eyes. You can use craft glue for this part, but I found a glue gun worked best to hold everything secure.

Step 4
Cut approximately 5 leaves from the stem. I got these stems from the dollar store.

Step 5
Using your glue gun, carefully attach each leaf to the scales around the wider end of the pinecone, spacing them evenly for a colorful, feathered look.

Aren’t these Pinecone Turkeys just the cutest? I hope you’ll give this fun Thanksgiving craft a try—your kids will have a blast making them! I’d love to see how your little turkeys turn out, so don’t forget to share a picture in the comments of one of my Pinterest pins!
Until next time
