Good morning friends. I hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend. I’ve spent mine working on some fun craft projects, of course. I know it’s the middle of summer, but if you’re a planner like me then you’ll know it’s the perfect time to start thinking of some fun Christmas crafts for the kids to make. Gathering ideas now means it won’t be so overwhelming when the holiday season rolls around.
One of the cutest projects I’ve been working on is the Melted Snowman Ornament. It’s such a fun and easy craft for kids, and the best part is that it requires only a few simple materials. You know me… I’m all about keeping things fun and easy! These little snowmen are not only adorable but the kids will love putting these together!
So lets gather our supplies, round up the kids and make some adorable melted snowman ornaments. This project is a fantastic way to spend some quality time together and kickstart the holiday spirit a little early. Trust me, you’ll cherish these moments and the delightful decorations you create. I still have all our homemade ornaments. My tree isn’t one of those stunning ‘themed’ trees where everything matches. Instead, it’s adorned with precious memories of making homemade ornaments with the kids. Would I love to have a themed tree? Absolutely! But the joy we receive each year when we go through all our homemade ornaments, is something I wouldn’t trade for anything!

Melted Snowman Ornament
What You’ll Need
- clear plastic ornaments
- Epsom Salts
- orange craft foam, or felt
- whole peppercorns
- small piece of fabric
- scissors

What To Do
Step 1
Begin by using a funnel to pour Epsom Salts into your clear ornament. Fill it about a third full.

Step 2
Draw a small snowman nose on the orange foam or felt and cut it out

Step 3
Cut a small scarf from a scrap fabric piece and cut fringe onto each end of the scarf

Step 4
Assemble your melted snowman. Push the nose, scarf and about 6 peppercorns into the plastic ornament, on top of the Epsom Salts. Using a skewer, or similar tool, push them into a desirable position to look like a snowman face.

How cute is that?! This quick and easy Christmas kids craft is a sure hit. Your little ones will absolutely love creating this adorable snowman ornament. Plus, it’s a fantastic way to spend some festive, creative time together!
Until next time
