Melted Crayon Valentines

Melted Crayon Valentines

Good morning crafter friends! Wow, it’s hard to believe that Christmas has already come & gone. It’s a brand new year full of opportunities for lots & lots of fun craft projects…..haha! Today, I have Valentine’s Day on my mind, so I want to help make your Valentines Day prep simple & fun! We’ll be making Melted Crayon Valentines.

These are perfect for the kids to make and hand out in their classroom. Sure, I could easily go out to Walmart and buy a box of premade Valentines, but there’s something special about making things yourself. I guess it’s the crafter in me. There’s such enjoyment from creating things and giving handmade gifts. Anyone else agree?

Anyway, your kids will love making the little heart shaped crayons. They’re super easy to do, and the PDF Valentine’s Card is all ready for you to download and print. I even created 3 different colors for you to choose from.

What To Do:

Step 1

Break or cut your crayons into tiny pieces (pea size works well) and arrange them into the silicone mold.

Step 2

Heat oven to 250 and place mold in oven for 15-20 min until crayons are melted. You’ll find as the crayons melt, you may have to add some more pieces of crayon to fill up the mold.

Step 3

Let crayons cool, then pop out of the mold. I put mine in the fridge for about 30 min. Print and cut out the PDF Valentine’s Cards, and glue the crayon to the card.
