Happy Saturday friends! Time for another quick DIY perfect to make with the kids! Today we’ll be making DIY Snowman ornaments from a craft stick, some buttons and a few other items. These are super cute and very easy to make. You can add string to make it into a Christmas tree ornament, or glue a magnet on the back and put it on your fridge.
We love our homemade ornaments and have so much fun going through them every year as we decorate the tree. Such fun memories. I really cherish these times, because they grow up way too fast!
Okay…..before I get all sentimental, lets get into this DIY!
DIY Snowman Ornaments
What You Need:
- large craft stick
- white craft paint
- fine black marker
- scrap of fabric (for scarf)
- orange & black craft foam
- buttons (color of choice)
- twine, or string
- white elmers glue
- glue gun
What To Do:
Step 1:
Paint the craft stick with white craft paint
Step 2:
While the paint is drying, draw your top hat and nose design and cut them out. Once the paint is dry, glue them on the craft stick with Elmers glue.
Step 3:
Cut a small piece of fabric for the scarf, and glue it on the craft stick. Mine was 1″ wide by 6.5″ long.
Step 4:
Glue on some buttons in the color of your choice. I know the picture shows my glue gun, but I ended up using Elmers glue.
Step 5:
Draw a cute face on your snowman with a fine tipped marker and watch him come to life!
Step 6:
With a hot glue gun, glue a piece of twine OR a magnet to the back of the snowman.
And that’s it! Aren’t they the cutest? We made several for our tree, and one for the fridge.
Have fun making these and don’t forget to post a picture of your DIY Snowman Ornaments on my Pinterest pin. I’d love to see your creations! For another super cute & EASY craft idea, here’s my post on DIY Reindeer Ornaments. These were really quick & easy to make too!
