Ahhhhh, the smell of Spring is in the air! Good morning friends! Today I want to show you how to make an easy spring DIY Lavender Wreath for your front door.
I don’t know about you, but spring is my absolute favorite time of the year! The smell of spring, the sound of the birds in the early morning makes my heart happy! I love to daily wander in the garden looking for new growth. In fact, I can be a little obsessed with it……I know, I’m a nerd…..it’s exciting to me to see new buds popping up through the earth!
It’s too bad this year we’re all confined in our homes other than a weekly run to the grocery store. How are y’all making out through this crazy Coronavirus Pandemic? Praying you’re all safe & healthy, enjoying lots of craft time & Netflix!
Some days are better than others around here. I’m trying my best to stay as normal as possible for the kids, so they don’t get scared, but man…..a lot of days I’d rather stay curled up on the couch with Netflix rather than get anything done around here! Anyone with me?? And most days I feel guilty about being a couch potato! Then I saw this post on my Instagram feed that put everything into perspective!

Cut Yourself Some Slack!
None of us have been through this before. We’ve never had to stay confined to our homes, distancing ourselves from family & friends. Some have never had to homeschool their kids, or been laid off from their jobs. Or….some have never had to GO to work during a pandemic, wondering every day if you may be infected! So, I’ve realized that we really need to cut ourselves some slack! If we feel like sitting on the couch all day, that’s okay!
Things will get better, we will get through this. Let’s be kind to ourselves in the process!
Well…..I’m not sure where that came from, but I’m pretty sure someone needed to hear that! So, why don’t we grab a cup of coffee, and have some fun together. I’ll show you how easy it is to put together this beautiful lavender wreath! Here’s a post I did with another super easy wreath to make.

DIY Lavender Wreath
What You Need:
- grapevine or twig wreath
- lavender stems (I got mine from Dollarama)
- hot glue gun
- ribbon for bow (optional)

What To Do:
Step 1:
Cut the lavender stems. If you don’t have wire cutters, try pliers. They worked well. I used 10 stems for this project. Each stem had 3 lavender heads.

Step 2:
Arrange and hot glue the stems around your wreath. I like to arrange all the stems first until it looks the way I want it to, then go back and hot glue. You may need to cut some of the stems a bit more so they fit. Be sure to tuck the stems in between the grapevine so they’re secure.

Step 3: (Optional)
Add a bow or more greenery if desired

How easy was that? What a beautiful spring accent for your door. I love scouring the dollar store for craft ideas! You really don’t need to spend outrageous amounts of money to make your home look beautiful.
Until next time
